Strengthening Child Protection System in Dupcheshwor Rural Municipality
An Interactive Program on Strengthening the Child Protection System was successfully held in Dupcheshwor Nuwakot, with the active participation of the Child Rights Committee, Government Stakeholders of Dupcheshwor Rural Municipality, and development partner, ECPAT Luxembourg asbl.
The program featured updates on the municipality's child protection initiatives, emerging trends in human trafficking, and recent child rights laws and policy developments. Child Rights Expert Ms. Debaki Acharya facilitated an engaging session on the Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC), Child Clubs, and Nepal's child rights and protection framework, encouraging meaningful discussion among participants.
The program strengthened stakeholders' understanding, coordination, and shared commitment to building a more effective and child-friendly protection system at the local level.
