Awareness Program on Human Trafficking Prevention for Adolescent Girls at Talamarang, Sindhupalchowk
Today, on World Day Against Trafficking in Persons 2026, Sunita Foundation marked the day by conducting an awareness program with the Adolescent Girls' Group in Talamarang-6, Sindhupalchowk, under this year's global theme: "Trapped Behind the Scam."
Through interactive discussions, Sunita Foundation equipped participants with practical knowledge on staying safe from human trafficking. The session highlighted common tactics used by traffickers, such as fake job and education offers and online deception, while encouraging adolescent girls to think critically, protect their personal information, verify opportunities, and seek help from trusted adults or authorities when something feels unsafe.
Empowering adolescent girls with knowledge is one of the strongest steps toward preventing human trafficking.
