Stakeholders Collaborate to Combat Human Trafficking in Melamchi
Sunita Foundation, with support from ECPAT Luxembourg, organized a district-level review and interaction program in Melamchi. The event brought together local officials, law enforcement, and community members to discuss the evolving nature of human trafficking, including the increasing involvement of men and children, often under the guise of foreign employment. Participants emphasized the need for coordinated efforts, awareness, and support for survivors. The foundation's "Hamro sambriddhi" project, active in four districts, focuses on livelihood support and skill development for affected individuals. Local authorities expressed commitment to collaborate and provide assistance to combat trafficking effectively.
